In, “The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self”, Carl Trueman concisely describes the origins of this work as his curiosity about how and why a particular statement has come to be regarded as coherent and meaningful. That is, “I am a woman trapped in a man’s body”. We live in the wake of the sexual revolution where such statements abound. Starting on September 4th there will be a class at 9:15 am in the North Fellowship Hall which is aimed to help you understand and engage the current expressions of the postmodern worldview relating to sexuality.

Pastor Malachi will be leading us through this study. He will help us get a better handle on the background of the sexual revolution as he shows us how we ought to respond. As Christians, we are called to always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks for the hope that we have. We are to this with gentleness and respect (1 Pet. 3:15). As God’s people we can gladly and unashamedly be pillars of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15). We are to be equipped for the work of the ministry (Eph. 4:12).
