Where should I park?
Campus gates are open on both Peoria and 35h Ave for our Sunday morning worship service.
What time should I be there?
Sunday school begins at 9 a.m. and Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. We have a large campus, so if you are dropping off kids give yourself another 10 minutes prior to the start times.
Gathered Worship Service
Children in 1st-6th grades stay for the first part of our worship service. This exposes our children to corporate worship at an early age. You can check them into the children's ministry in the lobby area of the Worship Center when you arrive and keep them with you in the service. After the pastoral prayer, children are dismissed to the children's area with our leaders.
You can pick your child up in the lower level of the Education Center as soon as the service is over. You are also welcome to keep your child with you during the entire service.
We have a room in the back for nursing mothers that provides privacy and live audio/video stream of our services.
What should I wear?
Our church is diverse in every way including our dress. People wear everything from shorts to suits.
What do your services look like?
We typically preach expositionally, that means we preach through whole books of the Bible section by section exposing what God's telling us. The themes flowing from that text help direct our songs, prayers, and Scripture readings. If our sermon is from the Old Testament, we will also read a text from the New Testament that relates thematically to the sermon text. This helps us see how the Old and New Testaments work together. Our prayers seek to praise God for His character on display in the text we are preaching from. We also confess ways in which we fall short of God's glorious character. We always run to Jesus' lavish provision of grace and urge God for his abundant help. Each week an elder of the church will pray for Trinity Bible Church modeling the kinds of things we should pray for.
Music is also extremely important because it's powerfully sticky. We seek to sing songs that help us focus on the character of God that is on display in our sermon for the morning. That music should help us think about the various elements of the gospel (God, Man, Christ, Response). Our style tends to go between traditional and contemporary, but we are more driven by the theme of the words than the style of the song. We also have a choir once a month. Our main concern in worship is that we hear the voices of our brothers and sisters in Christ lifting up praises to our great God.
