Elders
Stephen Andersen joined Trinity in 2016 and came on staff full-time in 2021. He serves as Pastor of Community Life. He and his wife, Rebecca, love serving the church wherever needed when they're not caring for their cat, Pookey. He moved to Phoenix from Minnesota in 2001 and worked as a UPS driver for 13 years. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Christian Counseling from Liberty University and received an MDiv in Biblical and Theological Studies as well as Counseling from Phoenix Seminary. Stephen loves high fives, fist bumps, building relationships, and getting others connected.
Harry Fair started attending TBC in 1991, fresh out of college and newly married. He has served TBC in a variety of roles in the past. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the Board of Elders and oversees Trinity’s youth ministry. Harry works as an engineer for Honeywell, and is married to Paula, and they have three children: Elizabeth, Alexander and Catherine.
George Mann has been a member of TBC since 1971 and an elder since 1973. He grew up in Tucson and earned a degree in electrical engineering from the U of A in 1958 and an MSE degree from ASU in 1973. He met his wife Ruth at church in Tucson and married her in 1960. They moved to Phoenix in 1961 and have been blessed with two daughters, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. George enjoyed a 43-year career in the computer industry before retiring from Bull Worldwide Information Systems in 2005.
Andrew McClurg grew up in the Chicago area and attended engineering school at the University of Illinois - Chicago. He worked for 14 years in telecommunications, and during that time served at a local church as a deacon. In 2002, he decided to attend seminary full time and received an MDiv degree from Midwestern Seminary in 2004. From 2004-2006 he worked as a church planter in Kansas City, MO. In 2006 he began to pursue a Ph.D. in Old Testament at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. While there, he served as an elder at Immanuel Baptist Church. In 2014 he and his wife Janet moved to Phoenix to teach at Grand Canyon University. Andy and his wife Janet enjoy worshiping and serving with the people at Trinity Bible Church.
Malachi Tresler has been with Trinity Bible Church in Phoenix for about 10 years. He served part-time as Pastoral Assistant of Worship for six years and then on full-time staff as Pastor of Music and Discipleship for three. He is currently serving as Lead Pastor. He’s married to Melissa and they have three children at home. He earned an MDiv in Biblical and Theological Studies from Phoenix Seminary in 2021.
Jim Hughes is an Illinois native who migrated to Arizona to pursue a career in commercial nuclear power. Since coming to faith in Christ in 1989, he has been a serving member of Phoenix-area churches. Here at Trinity, Jim currently leads the Hope for Addictions ministry. He loves to see God's transforming power at work in the lives of His people. Jim was blessed with 23 years of marriage to his wife Mimi (the late Sooin Hughes). He delights in their two daughters, Chantal and Victoria, and granddaughters Adelaide and Ramona. Jim is employed by Arizona Public Service at the Palo Verde Generating Station.
