Go And Sin No More

Peter Gurry. John 7:53-8:11. Despite its traditional inclusion in English Bibles, the manuscript evidence leads us to believe that John 7:53–8:11 is not part of John’s original Gospel. But it serves as a great illustration of what we find true about Jesus elsewhere: (1) Jesus is the Author of the law and therefore its true interpreter; (2) As the sinless one, Jesus is the only human judge who can’t be judged; (3) Jesus, as the judge, is willing and eager to forgive repentant sinners.
